The Fourth "R" - Rethink

A couple of months ago I sat down and made a list of my daily routine and how I could make it more sustainable.  Considering "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle", we already recycle and have been edging toward reducing and reusing.

We dry our hands on cloth towels, but paper towels still seem to be the bulk of our waste.  I have been talking about getting a composter but haven't gotten around to it.  We don't cook enough to have much kitchen waste, but I do have a lot of garden waste.

Yesterday I mentioned that I need a new watch battery for one of my watches.  My husband kidded me about having so many watches and filling the landfill with watch batteries.  I got him a solar watch a couple of years ago but never thought about getting one for myself.  Of course watch batteries are small, but it still all adds up.  I jumped on Amazon and found a lady's solar watch and ordered it - and it was on sale!

Today I saw the term "zero waste" and did an Internet search.  After looking at the Good article I decided I am on the right track just not there yet.
